Hither Woods is Montauk’s prime wilderness area.  It includes a segment of the Paumanok Path more than 10 miles long.  But East Hampton Town is proposing to build a 14-acre sewage treatment plant on parkland at the famed Laurel Canyon, in Hither Woods.  You should consider joining the fight against this abomination.  We will hike Laurel Canyon and visit other notable places in Hither Woods, in the leader’s 34th consecutive annual running of this famous hike. 

Meet at Hither Hills (West) Overlook parking area, north side of Rt. 27.    Bring lunch & liquids.
