Montauk’s Culloden Point is a place of great beauty, as are its adjoining woodlands. Before we even enter the Culloden Point Preserve, though, we will first hike a “brand new” section of Montauk’s North Neck Trail on the opposite side of Flamingo Avenue. This should be the first-ever organized event on the North Neck Trail. Meet 10:00 a.m. at the Culloden Point historic marker, west side of Flamingo Avenue, about 400 feet north of Wills Point Road. (Look for a red fire hydrant.) Distance: ~6 miles. Bring lunch & liquids.
