We’ll overlook the broad Atlantic from the bluffs of Shadmoor State Park, on Montauk. To get there we will first hike past the lovely Steppingstones Pond and the open fields of Rita Foster’s Ranch, then along part of the under-appreciated Parkway Trail. We will loop through Shadmoor, visiting at least one of the World War II observation bunkers on the way. Meet 10 AM on the east side of West Lake Drive (County Route 77), about 600 feet south of South Fairview Avenue intersection.
