Culloden Point

Rich in natural beauty and steeped in history, this trail through “Gunnunks Garden” is an East End gem.

It's not really a garden but an inviting oak/beech forest with large shimmering vernal pools and splendid views of Fort Pond Bay, Block Island Sound, and the wetlands of Culloden Point, named for the Culloden, a British warship that wrecked on the coast during the American Revolution.

Sparkling pools appear in wetlands along the trail.
